Meeting with the Mayor of Independencia - March, 2008

On March 7th, 2008, members of Solidarity Peru met with the Mayor of Independencia, Mr. Lovell Yomond Vargas, on the left in the photo, to discuss themes of International Cooperation. Independencia is a District of Lima, with over 200,000 inhabitants, divided into 6 zones. Possible projects included supporting a Center for Sports and Arts and financing seminars in Education and Computers. The Mayor and his delegation presented a possible work plan to Solidarity Peru that can be executed over the next few months.
