As part of our commitment to education for development, the campaign to donate basic backpacks filled with school supplies emerged. Accompanying children from the hills in their primary and secondary studies has been part of our social mission since 2008. Our main goal remains the same: to equip children attending public schools with school supplies. Despite the challenges involved in organizing an event of this magnitude in the current circumstances, our 2024 Annual Backpack Donation Campaign was successfully carried out.
These backpacks were acquired thanks to our partnership with the Rottkamp Charitable Foundation in the USA and its dedicated collaborators, who continue to support us year after year. The backpacks were delivered to the public school "José Carlos Mariátegui La Chira" No. 3045. The distribution focused on children residing in settlements in the upper regions of Cerro La Milla and its surroundings. This delivery was carried out in collaboration with the coordinators of the "Mujeres Emprendedoras" and "Santa Rosa II" Milk Cups.
